OUR CSER PHILOSOPHY:
(Community, Sustainability, Environmental Responsibility)
People, Product, Planet
Our charity work is important to us and we are proud to support a number of carefully selected local and national charities.
In 2019, My Fish Company employees decided that the Fleetwood Men’s and Sister Shed’s would become our local nominated Charity. We felt that we should make a conscious effort to ensure that we add social value by contributing to the longer-term wellbeing of individuals and the local community. By supporting these charities, we can make a difference to people’s lives.
The Environment and Seafood Sustainability
Sourcing fish responsibly is important to us and to our customers. We work closely with our fish and seafood suppliers, to offer our customers sustainable alternatives and to build a thriving industry for all. We do what we can to ensure a sustainable, socially responsible future for the UK seafood industry by considering where we buy our fish and seafood from.
A significant amount of seafood is wild caught which can lead to overfishing, unwanted by-catch and destructive catch methods. We take the view that we need to work within the industry to guide our customers towards sustainable choices.
In 2020 we moved all our retail packaging trays to recyclable – they are manufactured with 70% recycled of which 50% is post consumer waste. This means they are Prevented Ocean Plastic Approved.

Hospitality Action
Hospitality Action was established in 1837 and has since offered vital assistance to all who work or have worked within hospitality in the UK.
Whether you work in hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars or cafés, schools, hospitals or event venues, Hospitality Action will give you the help, advice and support you need whenever times get tough.
We work closely with people from the hospitality industry every day – so we feel it’s important for us to support their work through our Corporate Sponsorship.
We offer all employees a membership to the Hospitality Action Employee Assistance Programme. This is a care package that enables us to prevent many of our employees’ problems at home and at work from escalating.
This means we can offer support to our employees by providing a range of specialist, independent and confidential support services.
All freely accessible to our staff 24/7.
Fleetwood Town Community Trust (FTCT)
Is a vibrant and active community project that aims to provide socially inclusive community, health and education engagement programmes which aim to make a difference to the lives of people within our communities. Having successfully attained charitable status, the challenge for the Trust is now to reach even more people and increase the role we play in the local community. My Fish Company offers work placements to people through the Community Trust, helping people who may otherwise struggle to gain work experience and references, which in turn makes them more employable.
